Cottage Rules 2026

1. The cottages must be left in the same shape or better than the condition you found it in.
2. Ensure you remove all food you brought from the fridges when you leave.
3. The oil must be changed in the generator as per the manual.
4. When you leave, there must be a full tank in the generator and at least one full back up tank.
5. Fill empty propane tank if you find one or run out (bill can be submitted for reimbursement).
6. Please use bedsheets to avoid stains on the mattresses.
7. Dogs are not permitted on the island (as voted in 2025) due to people with allergies, past messes left behind, uncleaned poop, etc. Fines are pending and still to be defined by the island committee/discipline committee if the rule is broken. Any property damaged, will be the responsibility of the dog owners if the rule is broken.
8. Outhouse need to be washed out, sprayed, and enzyme added to the pit before you leave.
9. Wood from under the cabin or in the cabin is not to be used in the firepit.
10. Ensure there is a jug of water in the cottage.
11. Respect to locals is a must. Our neighbours are important and can be very helpful so treat them well.
12. Be safe with fire, tools, equipment, the lands.
13. Report anything out of order to the island committee and or the executive.
14. It's also always a pleasure to read the journal on the first day as well, remember to update it and share pictures of any fish caught.
